Questions/Responses to Solicitation Number: 36C24418R0678 UCC Temporary Physician Services Erie VAMC

Question #1:

Page 23, third block under "What" and page 56, para 3 under Technical Capability and Documentation both reference "Primary Source Verification" of the proposed candidate's CV and credentials.

Please clarify. Primary source verification is normally done post award. The VA Credentialing office has always done the primary source verification and it can take weeks to get it completed.

Request that the references be removed.

Response:

On page 23 in the table under “what” – the vendor will need to submit copies of all licenses, board certifications and NPI information on each candidate that they plan to submit for this proposal. The primary source verification will be conducted by the Erie VAMC.

On page 56, this verbiage appears to be part of the technical evaluation criteria that the VAMC will be utilizing when evaluating the offeror’s proposals. With that being said, the offeror’s are required to submit copies of any and all resumes/CVs, licenses, NPIs, ACLS/BLS certifications, DEA certification cards, and board certifications. (Primary source verification will be conducted by the Erie VAMC after award).

In regard to the references being removed, we are requesting that this statement remain as stated in the solicitation. These references provide additional information on these candidate’s skills and experience.

Question #2:

Page 24, block 9 under "What" and page 57 top of the page both reference an intubation letter. Are you wanting to simply know the number of intubations over the last two years or are you wanting their case log to show proof? May I suggest that we simply provide an estimate of the number of intubations in the proposal and provide the case log during the credentialing portion.

Response:

On page 24 under “what” regarding intubation letter. Offeror is to only provide the number of successful intubations completed per candidate within the last two years. They do not need to submit a case log to show documentation.

On page 57 – Offeror is to only provide the number of successful intubations completed per candidate within the last two years. They do not need to submit a case log to show documentation.
