It has been determined that VA IT service will be providing the network switches. Contractor will not be responsible to provide the network switches.
The Advanced Metering System shall communicate using the latest BACnet IP protocol that leverages ASHRAE, ANSI and ISO16484-5 standards. All new BACNet workstations, controllers, devices and components shall be listed by BACnet Testing Laboratories. All new BACNet workstations, controllers, devices and components shall be accessible using a HTML5 Web browser interface. Browsers shall not require the use of an extension or add on software in order to access aforementioned workstations, controllers, devices, and components. The system shall be web based, not client server.
The system shall run on a virtual server provided by the VAMC. The New Storage Area Network (SAN) and New Enterprise Xeon Server (XEON) are not required to be delivered by the contractor.
