B.4 PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT

TITLE: CAPABILITY MATURITY MODEL INTEGRATION (CMMI) SERVICES

1. INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND

Modernization & Process Improvement (MPI) leads the Office of Business Process Integration Improvement (OBPI) process improvement efforts and seeks to obtain CMMI Certification. CMMI is used to guide process improvement across projects, divisions, and entire organizations. CMMI benchmark appraisals enable organizations to identify strengths and weakness of current processes, plan for improvement strategy, mitigate risks, demonstrate to customers and business partners the soundness of the organization’s processes, and determine the CMMI maturity levels that represent how well the organization conforms to CMMI best practices. Benefits associated with CMMI include improvement in productivity and quality, increase in customer satisfaction, achievement of business objectives, business growth, and sustained improvements.
