About this file
This document is a comprehensive Florida Energy Efficiency Code compliance package for a residential construction project at 31 Milton Road in Pensacola, Florida, prepared by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. The file contains multiple forms and reports required for energy conservation documentation, including a Residential Energy Conservation Code Documentation Checklist, Energy Performance Level (EPL) Display Card, Building Input Summary Report, Mandatory Requirements document, Envelope Leakage Test Report, Duct Leakage Test Report, and Reference Home Characteristics. The project involves a new single-family home construction with 3 bedrooms and 1,242 square feet of conditioned floor area, located in Florida Climate Zone 2.
The energy documentation details specific system specifications, including a split air source heat pump with 17.4 kBtu/hr cooling capacity (17 SEER2) and 17.3 kBtu/hr heating capacity (8.2 HSPF2), an electric conventional water heater with 50-gallon capacity, and an estimated Energy Performance Index of 93. The home's thermal envelope includes R-13 framed walls, R-30 attic ceiling insulation, and windows with a U-factor of 0.360 and SHGC of 0.33. The documentation demonstrates compliance with Florida Building Code energy conservation requirements through detailed testing and verification of air leakage (7.0 ACH50), duct leakage, insulation installation, and other mandatory energy efficiency standards.
