STATEMENT OF BID ITEM(S)
**Note: The Government intends to make award on BID ITEM 1; however, should the bids received exceed the funds available, award will be on BID ITEM 2, BID ITEM 3, or BID ITEM 4 in this order of priority, based on available funding. Bidders are required to submit a price for every bid item.
A. BID ITEM 1 (Base Bid): All work in the drawings and specifications. The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, tools, equipment, insurance, supervision, and any other items required to complete project “Replace CARES Tower Roof and Overhangs”, Project No. 541-18- 103 at the Louis Stokes Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, OH 44106. Work includes general construction, necessary demolition, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, and certain other items shown and specified. All work shall be completed within 290 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed.
B. BID ITEM 2: (Alternate Deduct 1): All work in BID ITEM 1, except DELETE Roof 2 Replacement and DELETE PROVIDE Roof 2 Sealer/Coating as indicated on the drawings. All work shall be completed within 290 calendar days after receipt of Notice-to-Proceed.
C. BID ITEM 3: (Alternate Deduct 2): All work in BID ITEM 1, except DELETE work as specified in BID ITEM 2. In addition, DELETE Soffit B Replacement as indicated on the drawings. All work shall be completed within 290 calendar days after receipt of Notice-to-Proceed.
D. BID ITEM 4: (Alternate Deduct 3): All work in BID ITEM 1, except DELETE work as specified in BID ITEM 2 and BID ITEM 3. In addition, DELETE Roof 5 Replacement as indicated on the drawings. All work shall be completed within 290 calendar days after receipt of Notice-to- Proceed.
NOTE: The first sixty (60) days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed shall be used for the following:
1. Submission and approval of the Submittal Register, Project Schedule, Safety Plan, Scaffolding Plan, and any other submittals required before actual on-site construction activities can begin.
2. Contractor will not be permitted to mobilize and/or perform/complete any construction es VA Medical Center facility during this sixty (60) day period unless approved by the Contracting Officer.
