Justification for Request: Endoscope drying cabinets need to meet new guidelines of HEPA filters and circulating air flow to properly dry endoscopes.Current cabinet does not meet requirements as it does not lock, is not filtered air. ENDO area was a finding in last survey and the guidelines have been updated in 2021. Forced air drying cabinets are trending now and likely to become standard of practice in the next few years. 1) Longer time between reprocessing due to the scope reducing staff labor for unnecessary reprocessing, less PPE/solution/testing equipment if able to connect to hospital med air supply—already using compressor for the AER- could possibly connect both to hospital supply and remove smaller compressor to recover some space in the area. 2) The system would be completely automated- allowing staff to easily identify scopes needing reprocessing by visual alerts 3) The system allows for scope tracking easily if there are issues that is downloadable to USB. 4) Allows for more thorough drying time to reduce risk of germ growth from retained fluid exposure
