About this file
This is a pricing exhibit for a carpentry equipment procurement contract (25PSX0348) for the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS). The contract involves the purchase of 45 line items of carpentry machinery and equipment, including jointers, planers, saws, sanders, lathes, CNC systems, and specialized woodworking machines from manufacturers such as Northfield, SawStop, Powermatic, Jet, and ShopBot. Quantities range from 4 to 28 units per item, with equipment delivered, assembled, installed, and commissioned by qualified technicians. The contract includes provision for machine maintenance and repair services on an hourly basis, as well as percentage discounts on replacement parts and accessories. The initial contract term is three years with pricing held firm and fixed during this period.
Price adjustments may be requested no earlier than 30 days prior to the expiration of the then-current term and are limited to the lesser of the actual percentage change in the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Producer Price Index (PPI) or four percent annually after the initial three-year period, should the contract be extended. All price adjustment requests require supporting documentation and are subject to sole approval, negotiation, or rejection by DAS Procurement. Contractors must submit requests directly to DAS Procurement within the specified 30-day window; failure to do so results in pricing remaining unchanged for the succeeding 12-month period. Any approved price adjustments become effective no earlier than 10 days after DAS approval, and all purchase orders issued prior to the effective date must be honored at the previously established prices. The contractor's discount on replacement parts shall remain a fixed percentage from the manufacturer's current price list for the contract term.

Pricing and Price Adjustments
1. Pricing for items specifically listed in Exhibit B - Price Schedule shall remain firm and fixed for the initial three (3) year Term of the Contract as awarded. The Contractor may submit a written request for a price adjustment no earlier than thirty (30) calendar days prior to the expiration of the then-current Term. The Contractor shall submit all price adjustment requests in accordance with Notice Section of the Contract.
2. Price adjustments may be requested annually after the initial three (3) year Term, provided the Contract is extended, and shall be based solely on the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Producer Price Index (PPI). Any requested price adjustment shall not exceed the lesser of:
a) the percentage change in the referenced PPI; or
b) four percent (4%) per twelve (12) month period.
Any request for a price adjustment must include supporting documentation substantiating the requested change and demonstrating compliance with the applicable PPI and cap.
3. DAS Procurement reserves the sole right to approve, negotiate, or reject any price adjustment request, in whole or in part, at its sole discretion.
4. Requests for price adjustments must be submitted to DAS Procurement. Any request made to a Client Agency shall not be valid and shall be treated as if no request had been made. Requests submitted to a Client Agency shall not be considered timely and shall not toll or extend the applicable thirty (30) day submission period. The Contractor’s right to request a price adjustment shall lapse upon expiration of the thirty (30) day period. If the Contractor fails to submit a timely request, pricing shall remain unchanged for the succeeding twelve (12) month period and until the next eligible annual adjustment period.
If approved, price adjustments shall become effective no earlier than ten (10) calendar days after the date of DAS approval. The Contractor shall honor all purchase orders issued prior to the effective date of an approved adjustment at the prices in effect at the time such purchase orders were issued. Approved price adjustments may result in either an increase or decrease to the Contract pricing.
5. Should that PPI cease to be published, the Contractor shall use the most comparable index published on a regular basis by the Federal government since the date of this Contract.
6. The Contractor’s discount shall be a fixed percentage discount from the Contactor’s or manufacturer’s most current price list(s) in effect and shall remain fixed for the Term.
