Questions and Responses for the Creek Nation Aerobic Project.

1. Can we get pictures of the breaker boxes to make sure there is plenty of room in them and also to see what kind of breakers they are?

No. The alternative is to install a disconnect switch and a breaker in compliance with NEC on the outside of the home.

2. Do the septics need to be pumped out?

Yes and inspected to assure they can continue to be used. Read the specifications Section 33 35 13 Aerobic Spray Wastewater System, 3.02 Existing Septic Tank. There is a bid item for septic tank abandonment.

There needs to be an addendum to the specs Section 33 35 13 Aerobic Spray Wastewater System, 1.02, C., 2. a. add 6) Septic pumping and inspection.

This is so the contractor knows that payment for pumping and inspection of septic is part of the payment for installation of the Aerobic Wastewater Treatment Unit.

3. Who is responsible for the sprinkler heads if they are broken off due to lawn mowers, dogs or human error?

The sprinkler head should be set slightly below the top of the concrete collar and the concrete collar set flush with the finished grade. It should be able to run over by a riding mower. If the head fails due to improperly resetting after spraying, or freezing due to a drain failure then it is on the contractor to fix. If it is dogs, kids, or homeowner neglect or abuse it is on the homeowner.

4. After three years what if the company isn't in business to change out the effluent pumps?

Contracting question (why would you bid on this contract if you did not expect to be in business in 3 years)

5. When is estimated start date? Approximately January 23, 2017

6. One more question. Do we need to haul only rock off or do we need to haul off the extra dirt as well?

SECTION 33 35 13 AEROBIC SPRAY WASTEWATER SYSTEM

3.10 DISPOSAL OF EXCESS MATERIAL

A. Dispose of excess material including rock, broken concrete, bituminous materials, debris, or other materials not suitable for backfill at the location designated by the Project Engineer.

B. The cost to dispose of the material is considered incidental to the aerobic system bid item.

So yes you need to dispose of the excess soil. With Jeff’s approval, at Hanna and Misty Valley the soil could be moved to the lagoon site and spread out and leveled. This is not possible at Salem. They are nice yards and need to be restored as close as reasonably possible to the original condition.

7. Could you please provide the soil tests for the following:

7 systems in Hanna 3 systems in Misty Valley 6 systems in Salem
