About this file
This document is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) for calibration and repair services for motorized skid resistance testing units. The ITB seeks to establish a two-year term contract with a vendor who can provide annual calibration, minor and major repairs for these specialized testing units, with the contract open to both in-state and out-of-state vendors.
The contract requires the successful bidder to perform annual calibrations in accordance with ASTM E274-97 standards, complete repairs within 30 calendar days of notification, and provide parts at actual cost without additional markups. Bidders must submit pricing for all ten bid items on the Department's Excel pricing page, and the award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the total unit bid price. Delivery and pickup of test units will be handled differently for in-state and out-of-state vendors, with ODOT personnel managing transportation for in-state vendors and out-of-state vendors responsible for their own shipping at their expense. Invoicing requirements include detailed documentation of parts and labor, with no additional charges allowed for shop supplies or materials.
