The Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (the “Authority”) was created by the New York State Legislature on August 17, 2011 by Chapter 463 of the Laws of 2011. The Authority is the operator of the Syracuse Hancock International Airport in Syracuse, New York. The Authority is a New York State public benefit corporation established for the purpose of (i) stimulating economic growth, (ii) increasing trade and tourism, (iii) promoting safe and secure air travel in the region, (iv) providing citizens with efficient and economical air transportation options, and (v) to protect and enhance the natural resources and quality of the environment.

The Authority is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to perform roadway resurfacing work on Airport property. The work consists of a 2-inch True and Level mill and hot mix asphalt overlay, including surface preparation, tack coat, striping, and traffic management, as described herein.

The roadway serves as an active access route and experiences regular vehicular traffic. Over time, pavement conditions have deteriorated due to age, use, and environmental factors, necessitating corrective milling and resurfacing to restore roadway smoothness, drainage, and structural performance.

This RFP is intended to obtain competitive pricing for the required work within the defined project limits. The work areas, limits, and additional project details are identified in Exhibit A, which forms part of this RFP.
