2025-009 Ridgeview Loop Overlay

Scope of Work: Asphalt and Utility Improvements

This project includes roadway surface rehabilitation and utility adjustments in designated areas as outlined below. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials required to complete the following work to the satisfaction of Elbert County.

1. Full-Depth Asphalt Patching

• Quantity: 256.00 LF (16 patches, approximately 12' x 12' each)

• Work Includes:

o Removal and disposal of existing pavement and base o Placement of 6.0" aggregate base o Placement of 4.0" hot mix asphalt (HMA), Class 6 base course (GR Sx, PG 58-28, N75) o Incorporation of crushed concrete as specified

2. Crack Patching

• Quantity: 1,464.00 LF

• Work Includes:

o Cutting/removal of deteriorated pavement o Placement of 2.0" HMA patch (GR Sx, PG 58-28, N75) o Full disposal of excavated material

3. Asphalt Planing (Edge Milling)

• Locations:

o 7 concrete driveway tie-ins o 2 roadway tie-ins

• Work Includes:

o Edge milling to provide smooth transition between surfaces o Coordination with paving operations

4. HMA Leveling Course

• Quantity: 13,053 SY

• Work Includes:

o Placement of 0.5" leveling course (GR Sx, PG 58-28, N75) o Ensuring a smooth surface for final lift application

5. HMA Surface Course

• Quantity: 13,053 SY

• Work Includes:

o Placement of 2.0" surface lift (GR Sx, PG 58-28, N75) o Compaction and finish to meet project specifications

6. Valve Adjustments and Rebuilds

• Adjustments: 7 valves o Replace top sections and adjust to final grade (FG)

• Rebuilds: 7 valves o Excavate and replace both bottom and top sections o Adjust to FG

All work must meet Elbert County standards and specifications. Site restoration and cleanup will be required upon completion of work in each area. Payment will be made per contract unit pricing and verified by field measurement and inspection.
