About this file

Washington Township, located in Bangor, Pennsylvania, is soliciting a competitive bid for diesel fuel procurement for the year 2026. The township is seeking approximately 3,500 gallons of Clear on Highway Ultralow Sulfur Diesel Fuel, with the fuel to be winterized as needed. Vendors have two bidding options: (1) provide 24/7 access to a fueling facility within two miles of 4 Flicksville Road, or (2) supply and install a 500-gallon (or larger) tank with spill containment and electric transfer pump for fuel delivery. The bid must be submitted through www.pennbid.com by 11:00 am on November 12, 2025, with the contract award scheduled during the Board of Supervisors meeting that same evening at 7:00 pm. The contract will run from January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026.

The bid form includes pricing tables for both fueling options, allowing vendors to specify unit prices and total prices for the diesel fuel. Washington Township is tax-exempt and will require the selected vendor to provide proof of insurance. The bid documents emphasize flexibility in fuel acquisition, giving vendors multiple ways to meet the township's diesel fuel needs while ensuring competitive pricing and convenient access to fuel for municipal vehicles and equipment.
