Pococi Pool Construction # Questions Answers #1 Is it possible that you can provide us the Soil Study carried out for the project design, in order to know the water table at the construction site, in order to make an adequate work schedule and budget for the work?

Please find attached. This soil study is referential and contractor must include any additional tests deemed neccesary in order to assess current conditions.

#2 Can soil from the excavation be dumped on the police school property?

The End User Ministerio de Seguridad Pública must confirm that this is possible.

#3 Will the Police Academy provide electricity and water services for the work during the construction period?

The End User Ministerio de Seguridad Pública must confirm that this is possible.

#4 In point 2.1, page 2 of the document “Attachment 3 - Pococi Training Pool Specifications.pdf”, it states: “The Contractor will be responsible for obtaining the construction permissions from the appropriate authorities, including the Federated College of Engineers and Architects (CFIA)”, Do the contractor obtain permits from CFIA, Municipality? The amounts to be paid for these permits should be included in the construction price?

CFIA Permits have already been obtained, no further permits are required.

#5 Is it possible to have one or two guards on the construction site during the nights, weekends, and holidays, for the surveillance of materials, tools and equipment?

The End User Ministerio de Seguridad Pública must confirm that this is possible.

#6 What is the approximate time period between Notice of Approval and Notice to Proceed?

The End User Ministerio de Seguridad Pública must confirm that this is possible.

#7 Special Warranties H38 is different from the Bond Requirement? Yes. See solicitation section H.38 for detail.

#8

If our payroll does not exceed $150,000, is a recruitment plan required?

according to the solicitation provision "On contracts exceeding $150,000 where performance will require the recruitment of non-professional third country nationals, the Offeror is required to submit a Recruitment Plan as part of the proposal."

#9 Are the policies contemplated in file Attachment 1 - Pococi Training Pool SOW.pdf on page 10, point 10.0 safety requirements, CCSS insurance + labor risks + civil liability the same 3 indicated in file 19-AQMM-22-R-0213 section h3 page 25?

CCSS insurance + labor risks + civil liability and DBA must be considered and included on the proposal.

#10 In the Drawing provided, specifically in: CPE-Cambios Piscina de Entrenamiento de Pococ¡-Est - 220222.pdf, in sheet S1.1, SWIMMING POOL FOUNDATION STRUCTURAL PLAN, it is indicated that the pool has a depth of 4 meters and that the ramp has a slope of 40%, but in the Draw:

PEP - PISCINA DE ENTRENAMIENTO POCOCI - ARQ 220317.pdf, in sheet A1.1, in ARCHITECTURAL DISTRIBUTION PLAN, it is indicated that the pool is 3 meters deep in its deepest part and with a slope of 24.6%, therefore the architectural Draws do not match with the structural draws in terms of depth and profiles on Draw: CPE-Cambios Piscina de Entrenamiento de Pococ¡-Est - 220222.pdf, in sheet S0. 2 PROFILE 1-1, PROFILE 4-4, PROFILE 5-

5. What is the depth of the pool at its deepest point and what is the correct slope at the pool floor?

The depth of the pool and slope must be considered as indicated in architectural drawings.

#11 In the structural draws, specifically in CPE-Cambios Piscina de Entrenamiento de Pococ¡-Est - 220222.pdf, in sheet S0.2, in PROFILE 1-1, PROFILE 2-2, PROFILE 3-3, PROFILE 4- 4, PROFILE 5-5 the vertical scale does not coincide with the level curves and neither with the indicated scale, are these indicated profiles ok? In case of requiring a change, when could we obtain the plans with the corrected details?

Corrected drawings will be send to the Awarded Company vía

AQM.

#12 In the Draws PEP - PISCINA DE ENTRENAMIENTO POCOCI - ARQ 220317.pdf, sheet A1.10, FINISHES TABLE on#3, state: “GAUGE 20 STAINLESS STEEL PANEL METAL SCREENS WITH STOVE ENAMELLED PAINT FINISH”, Its that correct, paint over stainless steel?

The panels must be STAINLESS STEEL. ENAMELLED PAINT FINISH must not be included.

#13 In the structural draws, specifically in CPE-Cambios Piscina de Entrenamiento de Pococ¡-Est - 220222.pdf, in sheet S4.1, in CROWN BEAN STRUCTURAL PLAN, in axle 2, between a and b, vc1 and vc2, it seems that it is reversed and does not match sheets a13 and a14 rear and frontal views.

Correct, specifically between axes A and B, over axis 2, VC1 and VC2 crown beams must be taken as the opposite.

#14 In the structural Draws, specifically in CPE-Cambios Piscina de Entrenamiento de Pococ¡-Est - 220222.pdf, in sheet S4.1, in CROWN BEAN STRUCTURAL PLAN, IN AXLES C,D,E,F,G AND H, I,J,K,L BETWEEN 4 AND 5 don't indicate Crown beans, what beans apply? Same for axle 4 between C and G and between H and L, same in L between 1 and 5, and in walls next to bathroom access men and women.

Crown beam V1 must be considered.

#15 In Draws CPE-Cambios Training Pool Pococ¡-Elec - 220222.pdf, indicate OUTDOOR LED LIGHT MOUNTED ON POST, 5M. HIGH, SYLVANIA P24480 MODEL OR SIMILAR, 120V, 200VA, what is the post for these lights?

A galvanized iron 3" round post must be considered.

#16 Whisperflo XFE-8 2 hp pumps are being designed, our Pentair dealer informed us that they have been discontinued. Can we propose a better substitute?

Pump similar in quality degree and brand must be submitted before installation for approval by the COR.

#17

Confirm if these 2 hp pumps have adequate suction for 4 skimmers per line, since the distance between the pool and the machine room is around 40 mts total.

Design criteria is based on pump availability and minimum operatonal requirements. Commercial pumps in the country are not available in more than 2HP, implying an additional cost for eventual replacement during operation (due to being imported equipment).

Bidding companies may propose alternatives if wanted.

#18

Confirm if these 2 hp pumps have adequate suction in the suction lines since they have 4 intakes per line.

Design criteria is based on pump availability and minimum operatonal requirements. Commercial pumps in the country are not available in more than 2HP, implying an additional cost for eventual replacement during operation (due to being imported equipment).

Bidding companies may propose alternatives if wanted.

#19 Lines R3 and R4 of the returns are approximately 1.6 mts deep, please reconsider placing them 30 cm deep on both 12 mts wide faces.

Please consider 1.6m depth in order to guarantee water recirculation in the bottom part of the pool.

#20 Reconsider installing a line with 2 skimmers, 1 line with 2 bottom intakes, 1 intake with 2 suction outlets and 1 line with 4 returns for each pump in order to balance the filtering system more and in the future, it can be maintain a pump or pipeline only by shutting down that pump

We agree with this value engineering , having no objections on behalf of the design team, so that maintanence is more practical.

#21 There is a #4 rod installed next to the ground as vertical steel for the pool walls. Can we place a “U” or double rod with a 3 cm coating.

Question is not clear, please indicate drawing number and detail.

Existing drawing must proceed.

#22 There is a 2 mts wide deck around the perimeter of the pool, which is attached to its walls. We suggest separating both structures to avoid cracks in the deck or extra stress on the pool walls.

If not casted jointly, a construction joint must be performed between concrete sections, guaranteeing that water won't sip through.

#23 Reconsider piping each pool light fixture separately for better future maintenance.

Can be proposed as value engineering, if so, it could be considered during construction.

#24 We do not find concrete resistance for diferent elements in plans. Can you detail the diferents concrete resistannses?

If not indicated in details, concrete strenght must be as indicated in sheet G0.2

#25 Can you bring detail DF01, indicated in plans CPE-Cambios Piscina de Entrenamiento de Pococi- EST - 220222.pdf, SECCION SF

Corrected drawings will be send to the Awarded Company vía

AQM.

#26 Drawing S1.1 indicates that some details about the foundations are on sheet S1.3D, however, this sheet is not on the PDF. The detail for the LF4 foundation slab is missing, so it’s probably on this sheet. Please supply S1.3D drawing.

Corrected drawings will be send to the Awarded Company vía

#27 At the pool ramp, on the sheet S1.1 it said the slope is of 40% but on the sheet S1.3, the slope is 24.6%. By obtaining the slope through the dimensions, the correct one is 24.6%. Please confirm this or clarify which is the real slope.

Figure 1. Drawing on the sheet S1.3.

Slope must be considered as indicated in architectural drawings.

#28 At the Figure 3, which is a screenshot from the M1.4 sheet, it said that there goes a 1 ½” (38 mm) Ø pipe for the filling by return system but it is pointing at a black circle which is not on the symbology.

Please clarify what is this black circle and what is this label pointing at, and please show at which section goes the reduction from 1 ½” (38 mm) Ø to ¾” (19 mm) Ø.

The note and black circle must be disregarded.

#29 The single-line diagram doesn’t show the Kwh meter. Please indicate:

a. Base type for the meter.

b. Physical location.

c. Location at the single line diagram. d.

On the symbology table, the specification is Class 100 which don’t correspond due to the capacity.

Not required due to the project being inside the Police Complex.

#30 The 50 Kva conventional transformer should be supplied and installed? Yes. Must be supplied and installed.

#31 Engineering study:

a. Is there already an engineering study?

b. If doesn’t, who should assume the responsibility and its cost?

There is no engineering study and must be covered by Construction Contractor.

#32 Who should supply and install the crossing and the connection with the medium tension? There is no length. Please provide this scope information.

This must be installed by contractor. Total aproximate length is 75m, but must be verified by Contractor on site.

#33 The wire for main connection should be THHN or RHHW-2? The aluminum XHHW-2 8000 series wire.

Please consider 3#4/0 THW + 1#1/0 THW

#34 On the electric drawings, the scale specify that the wiring slack is of 20 meters and the next post is at 60 meters, where the transformer will be installed. Given that the flat line must be followed when interconnecting the cable directly and since it cannot be tensioned, it is possible that it will generate some important catenary. Please clarify if that distances are correct.

Please consider a post adjacent to the existng lines.

#35 When interconnecting from a public street point from the existing primary lines, it is possible that the electric company requests a delivery point at the first pole facing the street, and at that point they also may ask an indirect primary metering. But this is only a possibility. Do we have to include this eventual cost on the proposal?

Not applicable due to the project being inside the Police Complex.

#36 Should public lighting lamps be considered on both poles? Please confirm with Ministerio de Seguridad Pública. Not required by public company due to the project being inside the Police Complex.
