Statement OF Objective (SOO) Bldg. 8027 Electrical 800 amp Upgrade to the Multi-Purpose Chamber.
Vision Statement Modify Building 8027 Motor Control Room Panels BL 102B & 102C, 250 Amps 480 V and re-route through 2- 150KVA 208V transformers outside the Multi-Purpose Chamber (MPC) through 24” diameter pass through, over to the northwest MPC corner to 2-400 main panels. Main panels shall be configured to supply 2-100 Amps, 2- 60 Amp, 2-30 Amp, and 5-20 Amp plugs to each side of the chamber utilizing the existing wall mounted junction box cabinets (exiting explosion proof plugs to be removed). Inside MPC weather tight stainless steel panels and stainless steel conduit shall be used.
1.0 Introduction
The purpose of this effort is to re-route 800 Amp /208 V service to the MPC and bring 800 Amp/208V to two 400 Amp main panels and specified plugs inside the MPC on west and east side walls. In addition; utilizing selected plugs and junction boxes inside the MPC and removing others will be required. This facility is inside a secure area fence with personnel entry and breathing air equipment procedures required.
