Solicitation Questions

1. The awarded contractor is being asked preserve the integrity of the functioning components. What are those components? A drawing or photo of the panel would be easiest way to determine this.

The solicitation was updated on 4/29/21 to include the following statement:

"As to the drawing, there are designations on the switchgear that are not detailed in the notes. The designation of "52" is a reference to the actual breaker that will be controlled and operated by the PLC this breaker is a GE POWER VAC BREAKER / TYPE: VB1 13.8-500 3 / with a 48v DC trip and close coil these are ran on an existing battery bank. All the breakers that are to be controlled are typical and of this type. The other designation is the "R1" this signifies the protective relay that is on each individual breaker. These are a: GE DFP100 / MODEL#DFP14A1M110FB . These are typical as well."

The statement referenced; "preserve the integrity of the functioning components" means not to physically destroy anything as items are being removed. Any components that are removed should remain intact, as well as the component it was attached to. In essence, don't just start cutting, smashing and yanking things to remove them. Care should be taken as to label connections/wires so the reassembly can be made easier for the contractor.
