About this file
The document is a Delivery Requirements specification for a federal contract with the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) for quarterly bread delivery. The requirements outline strict temperature, packaging, and inspection protocols for food deliveries, including specific temperature ranges for perishable, canned, and frozen foods. Critical requirements include palletized deliveries, Kosher symbol verification for religious diet items, and compliance with BOP National Menu Specifications.
Detailed delivery conditions include a three-day conditional receipt period for examination and testing, with items failing to meet specifications subject to refusal. Vendors must retrieve unacceptable products at their own expense within two days of notification, with items not retrieved within two weeks being disposed of by warehouse staff. The delivery requirements are part of a solicitation for bread supplies at the Federal Correctional Complex Hazelton in West Virginia, with an anticipated solicitation release date of May 14, 2025, and quote submission deadline of May 28, 2025 at 12:00 pm EST.
