Due to the long holiday weekend, is it possible to have the questions due date extended to Friday June 2?

The deadline for Q&A will not be extended to Friday, June 2.

Deadline for Q&A will remain 31 May 2023 @ 12PM ET.

Has there been any geotechnical performed for this project?

Geotechnical investigations have not been performed.

3.

Is the current rip rap material type known?

Current rip rap is not confirmed. If specification was followed when constructed in 1985, rip rap would be 6”-2’-0” size material (per sheet C00 in construction drawings) and comply with MN DOT Spec 3601.

Can earthen fill be used as a coffer dam?

Earthen fill will not be allowed as coffer dam material. The project is subject to the MN DNR / USACE permitting with strict requirements for sediment and erosion projection. Reference sheet C01 in construction drawings, Cofferdam scope note 2 regarding approval of method as it relates to turbidity or sediment discharge into the lake. Placement of earthen fill would be defined as impactful sediment discharge into the lake.

Are there any details on the existing crib dock if it will need to be removed/replaced?

The Park has typical crib dock details similar or adaptable to this crib dock which may be shared with the awarded Contractor; however, construction documents of this specific crib dock is not available.
