Contractor Questions and Answers

NAMA Tree Pruning

1. Is there was an accurate tree count that could be listed on the solicitation for the 3 areas?

The requiring office does not have an accurate tree count. In addition to the photos provided, you could try a mapping program to give you a better idea

2. The 3 attachments to the solicitation show overhead photos of the areas to be serviced. Do all dots located within the outlined areas indicate trees to be pruned?

Yes, the dots are mostly accurate. A site visit may be advised for the sake of 100% accuracy.

3. What do the different colors of the dots represent?

The different colors represent different species in an ARC-GIS program.

4. Is there an inventory of the trees to be pruned in each of the three areas?

No, the overhead photos are mostly accurate, however, a site visit will allow the bidder to see things as they are.

5. Is there a total number of trees to be pruned in each area?

No

6. The Hains Point is the largest area, There is a section of trees in the middle that are naturalized, like a small forest. Are these trees to be pruned also? Is there a certain diameter of tree we are pruning in this area or do all the trees with tags get pruned?

The grove of trees they may be referring to may be on the golf course. Please note: On the Hains Point overhead photo, it has come to my attention that the tree pruning does not include all of the areas within the red line! Within the red line can be found the Hains Point Golf Course which has a fence around the entire golf course. The pruning does not extend beyond the fence onto the golf course property. Pruning shall be performed between the red line on the overhead photo and the golf course fence.

All of the tree on Hains point, regardless of size or diameter [dbh], shall be pruned to conform with the

SOW.
