About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers attachment for Request for Quote (RFQ) #140P5125Q0021 for Tree Thinning Services at Kings Mountain National Military Park. The Q&A addresses six key questions from potential bidders, confirming this is a new requirement with no incumbent contractor. Importantly, the document clarifies that no individual site visits will be offered, but provides detailed supplementary documentation including GPS coordinates, a map (Attachment 0002), and a comprehensive tree list (Attachment 0003) to help potential contractors understand the project scope.
The solicitation seeks a contractor to perform tree thinning services to mitigate hazardous conditions and improve site aesthetics within the park. After contract award, park staff will be available to verify trees to be removed, with trees already marked with white spray paint on their backside. The trees have been individually identified with GPS coordinates (accurate within 3 meters), number, size, species, and condition. Bidders are directed to page 44 of the solicitation document for submission instructions, with the government planning to award a single Firm-Fixed Price Contract using a Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) source selection procedure.
