About this file

This performance work statement outlines requirements for the delivery of propane to Zion National Park in Utah. The National Park Service requires approximately 40,000 gallons of propane annually as the park transitions to an electric shuttle fleet, decreasing to 16,000 gallons once fully electric for use in facility equipment and a backup generator. The contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, and materials to deliver propane to the park's 30,000 gallon tank as needed to maintain adequate levels. Propane must contain at least 95% concentration with no oil byproducts and be odorized. The contractor must submit delivery tickets and invoices on a monthly basis through the IPP system. This is a requirements contract for an initial base period of February 1, 2024 through January 31, 2025 with four additional option years. Delivery locations, safety requirements, and additional terms are provided.

The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the National Park Service Intermountain Region seeking propane delivery services for Zion National Park as described in the performance work statement. Pricing will be based on the local terminal price plus contractor markup.

STATEMENT OF WORK PROVIDE PROPANE ZION NATIONAL PARK

December 12, 2023

I. INTRODUCTION:

The National Park Service has a requirement for propane to be delivered to Zion National Park to be used for the Park’s shuttle bus service facility. This is a supply requirement for ongoing supply of propane.
