140L5724Q0013 RFQ for BLM Utah Moab Field Office – ADA Campfire Rings and Picnic Tables
Questions and Answers
1. How should the proposal be submitted?
a. Quotes must be emailed to the Contract Specialist, Sarah Hancey at shancey@blm.gov no later than 5:00pm MST on Tuesday January 30, 2024.
2. Regarding the (4) ADA 8’ tables, do the benches also have to be 8’ long? If not, which is preferred, a 1-foot extension on both ends or a 2-foot extension on one end of the table?
a. The tabletops should be 8-feet long, but the benches should only be 6-feet long. The idea is that the tables have a 2-foot overhang on one side to allow wheelchairs to roll beneath the tabletop.
3. Is the delivery location able to unload product from the truck to the ground or do they require liftgate service as well?
a. Yes, we have a forklift on site and can unload the product at our wareyard.
4. Would Moab Field Office be open to the items coming in more than one delivery?
a. Yes.
5. Would a truck bed spray liner work for a coating on the picnic tables? It's very durable and made of polyurea and is UV resistant.
a. If the liner can be provided in a dark brown color (vendor to provide color swatches for reference prior to acceptance), then the liner material would be acceptable, provided it had a non-abrasive texture and conforms to the other relevant specs (material property submittals would need to be reviewed before acceptance).
6. Are "snow load" tables (tested up to 1420lbs per square foot, and more expensive) required for this area, or are standard steel tables that aren't "snow load" capable sufficient?
a. Snow load consideration is not a requirement of our specs. Standard steel tables will suffice.
7. When are questions due?
a. Questions must be emailed to the Contract Specialist, Sarah Hancey at shancey@blm.gov no later than 5:00pm MST on January 22, 2024.
