About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) response related to a solicitation for a new UTV for the Butte Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management. The RFI addresses two specific questions about trade-in machines: first, the condition of three trade-in machines, and second, whether the machines have power steering. The respondent confirms that the three machines were in good mechanical and running condition when parked, and have not been used this year. Additionally, the trade-in machines do not have power steering. The solicitation number is 140L3625Q0078, and the opportunity involves acquiring a new Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) for the Bureau of Land Management's Butte Field Office.

Answers to RFIs Q0078 7/30/2025

1. For the 3 trade in machines on this one, I saw a note for Ranger 2 that says it is believed to have a bent frame. Other than that are all 3 machines in good mechanical, running condition?

a. They are in good mechanical/running condition when we parked them. To my knowledge, all 3 of those haven't been used this year.

2. We were wondering if the trade ins had powersteering?

No.
