About this file
Summary
This document is a Specifications sheet from the United States Fish and Wildlife Service's Lower Mississippi River Great Lakes Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office, located in Basom, NY. The office seeks to procure 2 backpack electrofishers to support mission-critical aquatic habitat restoration work. The electrofishers must be capable of storing GPS coordinates, electrical input and output data, warning codes, and performance information throughout sampling efforts. The units require onscreen active waveform visualization, output performance graphs, GPS coordinate display, and an alarm mode to notify users of user-defined effort limits. A USB port must be available for downloading sampling data and uploading software updates.
The backpack electrofishers must feature programmable waveform output to minimize potential harm to fish while optimizing effectiveness, with extensive waveform selection capabilities to accommodate varying stream conditions and target species. Critical safety features include an emergency stop switch with dual audible alarms, tilt and immersion sensors, and an Anode-Out-of-Water sensor that automatically deactivates the electrofisher output during dangerous situations. No pricing terms, response dates, award dates, contract vehicles, or other procurement timeline information is provided in this specifications document.

Specifications
The United States Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office Aquatic Habitat Restoration Group requires 2 backpack electrofishers to complete mission critical work. The electrofishers need to store GPS coordinates, electrical input and outputs, warning codes and performance information for the duration of the sampling effort. They need to have onscreen active waveform visualization, graphs of output performance, GPS coordinates and alarm mode to inform about user-defined effort limits. It should have a USB port for the user to download all sampling data while allowing software to be uploaded.
The backpack units need to have programmable waveform output to reduce the potential damage to fish while producing the most effective output. It needs to have an extensive waveform selection to be able to adapt to differing stream conditions and species being sampled.
It should include safety features such as an emergency stop switch with twin audible alarms, tilt and immersion sensors and Anode‐Out‐of‐Water sensor which immediately turns off the output of the electrofisher in dangerous situations.
