I presume that the contractor would use the camper for overnight lodging. I believe that there is ample room for equipment and material storage in the Crew Quarters garage room. Yes, the contractor may use a camper on the island during construction.
The refuge manager will meet with the contractor to identify the specific camper location, which will be approximately 30 feet behind the Crew
Quarters.
The contractor must be aware that the island, including grounds surrounding this camper site, are open to the public from sunrise to sunset
Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend.
The camper location must be kept free of loud music, signage, garbage, debris, cooking equipment, etc, that could constitute a public safety hazard or be offensive.
The contractor must remove the camper from Plum
Island if they expect to be absent from the island, i.e. not work there, for >14 days.
The contractor may not house guests and other non-contractors in the camper. Fires are not allowed.
