Test Participants:
Chilled Water Pumps
1. From BAS operator interface, enable CHWP-1 and confirm operation.
2. From BAS operator interface, enable CHWP-2 and confirm operation.
3. From BAS operator interface enable CHWP-1, then physically shut off CHWP-1 and,
a. Verify CHWP-2 starts.
b. Verify alarm at BAS operator interface for CHWP-1 not operational.
4. From BAS operator interface enable CHWP-2, then physically shut off CHWP-2 and,
a. Verify CHWP-1 starts.
b. Verify alarm at BAS operator interface for CHWP-2 not operational.
5. From BAS operator interface, enable CHWP-1, then physically turn on CHWP-1 and,
a. Verify alarm at BAS operator interface for CHWP-1 working in hand only.
6. From BAS operator interface, enable CHWP-2, then physically turn on CHWP-2 and,
a. Verify alarm at BAS operator interface for CHWP-2 working in hand only.
7. From BAS operator interface, enable CHWP-1 and confirm,
a. Maximum speed does not exceed maximum chiller flow rate for CH-1
8. From BAS operator interface, enable CHWP-2 and confirm,
a. Maximum speed does not exceed maximum chiller flow rate for CH-2
9. For CH-1 during scheduled occupancy, a call for cooling & outdoor temperature > 20°F confirm,
a. Minimum speed of CHWP-1 is equal to or greater than 30%.
10. For CH-1 during scheduled occupancy, a call for cooling & outdoor temperature > 20°F confirm,
a. Minimum speed of CHWP-2 is equal to or greater than 30%.
11. Upon CH-1 meeting all site demands confirm,
a. CHWP-1 remains in operation for an additional 5 minutes.
12. Upon CH-1 meeting all site demands confirm,
a. CHWP-2 remains in operation for an additional 5 minutes.
13. Physically (in hand) shut off CHWP-1 VFD and confirm,
a. CHWP-1 VFD fault alarm at BAS operator interface.
14. Physically (in hand) shut off CHWP-2 VFD and confirm,
a. CHWP-2 VFD fault alarm at BAS operator interface.
15. Verify weekly lead/lag rotation of pumps.
Temperature Control Valves
1. From BAS operator interface, enable TCV-1 (by-pass) and confirm operation.
Chiller
1. From BAS operator interface, command CH-1 on and confirm
a. Flow switches prove chilled water flow through chiller.
b. CH-1 operation.
2. From BAS operator interface, command CH-1 on, then physically (in hand) shut off CH-1 and,
a. Verify alarm at BAS operator interface.
3. Add HVAC system load and then confirm,
a. Alarm for +5°F > CH-1 supply temperature set point.
4. Reduce HVAC system load and confirm,
b. Alarm for 4°F < CH-1 supply temperature set point.
2. From BAS operator interface, command CH-1 on, then confirm,
a. Bypass valve is modulating to control the system differential pressure.
b. And maintaining minimum chiller water flow rate for the chiller.
5. Verify CH-1 Points / Alarms are mapped from Chiller Card.
Flow Meter
1. Operate CHWP-1, record flow value from FMS-1.
2. Operate CHWP-2, record flow value from FMS-1.
Verify Temperature Sensors
1. CH-1 inlets measured vs BAS operator interface.
2. CH-1 outlets measured vs BAS operator interface.
3. CH-2 inlets measured vs BAS operator interface.
4. CH-2 outlets measured vs BAS operator interface.
5. Ambient Air relative humidity.
6. Ambient Air temperature.
Differential Pressure Sensor
1. From BAS operator interface, enable CHWP-1 and confirm speed varies to,
a. Maintain system differential pressure (Adj.) so minimum flow is achieved at all equipment.
2. From BAS operator interface, enable CHWP-2 and confirm speed varies to,
a. Maintain system differential pressure (Adj.) so minimum flow is achieved at all equipment.
