About this file
This is a Questions & Answers document for RFQ 140A1225Q0006 for shipping containers required by the Bureau of Indian Affairs Northwest Region's Yakama Agency. The Q&A reveals that new shipping containers are required for storage purposes at two locations - Toppenish and Glenwood.
The document addresses delivery logistics, specifying that the vendor must handle all container placement as the agency lacks equipment for moving containers. Each delivery location has at least 150 feet of frontal clearance but is backed by fence lines. The sites are accessible via public roads with no special restrictions for delivery on the Indian Reservation. Specific delivery dates, times, and placement details are referenced in the main solicitation but not included in this Q&A document.

Q1. Is there a system on site to load the containers?
A1. We do not have any special equipment to handle shipping containers. We do not have a tractor or any other large equipment to move, shift, reposition a shipping containers once unloaded from the truck. The vendor will need to be able to place the container where needed without any input from the Yakama Agency.
Q2.Is there 150' of clear space in front or in back of the containers? Some shipping companies have a system like a tow truck that pulls the container onto the trailer. They need plenty of space to get into position.
A2. There will be at least 150' of clearance in front of each of the locations where we would like to place the container. There will not be any room behind, as we are placing the containers in front of fence lines in at both locations. We would just need time prior to delivery to clear trucks and gear out of the way.
Q3. Any special restrictions we should be aware of on an Indian Reservation?
A3. No special restrictions as it pertains to delivering shipping containers at either Toppenish or Glenwood. Each have public access roads to each location and no restrictions on the delivery vehicles being on site.
