Q&A, CLARIFICATIONS, and SUMMARY of CHANGES 07/12/2019
DIVISTION 01 – GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Location of storage for office furniture? Who packs the boxes? Who provides the storage? Is climate controlled required? Who removes electronics, personal items, wall paintings, marker boards, and safes? Who provides the boxes to employees?
a. Refer to revised Section 1.16, Section B “Moving Services.” Everything will be boxed prior to the Contractor receiving full access to the building, and boxes for the employees are not the responsibility of the Contractor. Copy and fax machines must remain in the same facility as they are currently housed, and the Contractor is responsible for moving and covering them as needed aware from the active work areas.
2. Asbestos survey could delay work. Can asbestos testing be completed prior to NTP?
Shouldn’t this be done prior to construction? Is there a hazardous waste report for the buildings? Are there asbestos reports for the flooring and ceiling tiles?
a. Asbestos testing has been removed from the contract. Certified reports have been provided as an exhibit in the amendment. Section 1.10 has been revised with the asbestos abatement requirements for the work at Bradshaw Ranger District. There is no asbestos containing materials (ACM) at the Chino RD main office that effect the contractual work, and the Chino Yard office is currently being tested by the Government.
3. What documents need to submit with bid? Are there evaluation factors?
a. Refer to revised Section M.
4. Performance time seems short considering the asbestos testing and lead time for some of the materials for construction.

a. The estimated range of the project is $500K to $1M. Typically the ranges given are accurate for the costs of the specific project the range is intended for.
8. Does the flags need to be raised and lowered at the construction locations?
a. The Government will remove the flag once the buildings are vacated and there is no requirement for the Contractor to raise and lower the flag once they begin work at the locations.
9. Can we obtain a sign-in sheet?
a. See Amendment.
10. At the project walk there was a discussion that possibly some contractors could revisit the project site is this correct?
a. Please contact Richard Polanco, Forest Engineer at 928-443-8167 for follow-up site visits. Note that the Government will make the best attempt to accommodate requests given sufficient time to schedule.

a. The Bradshaw RD will be vacant and turned over to the Contractor completely for construction. All work can be completed concurrently per location.
