USDA ARS Window Cleaning 12805B24Q0238

Questions

1. Do you have pics of the windows that need to be cleaned for this contract? Pics submitted to CO.

2. How high are the windows? Highest windows are 15 to 20 feet high.

3. Are all windows on the ground floor, would we need any boom lifts to access any areas? All buildings are single story with most windows being easily accessible. The highest windows are 15 plus feet high and have previously been reached from roof access on the exterior and a ladder on the interior.

4. How many windows are needing services? Recommend attending site visit or reviewing provided pictures.

5. Will it be exterior and interior window cleaning services needed or just exterior? The requirements are in the solicitation for what’s included for interior and exterior window cleaning.

6. What is the sq ft of the greenhouse? Actual greenhouse windows are not required.

Greenhouse building windows are required and ill provide a picture to clarify.

7. Approx how many windows does each building have? Please review the provided images and attend the site visit if possible.

8. What are the sizes of the windows? Recommend contractors attend the site visit Wednesday at 10:30am.

9. You mentioned a 002 attachment and highlighted sections but in the documents on SAM, there was no 002 attachment or any highlighted sections in any of the documents, can you please provide it.

10. Even though this is a RFQ for a service, you still want us to fill out the Buy agreement? Isn't that usually reserved for products? No

11. Are we requesting window cleaning at 2 locations. Yes, the location addresses are in the PWS.

12. Site visit held at only one location. Yes, 3810 4th. Street Lubbock Texas, 79415.

Facility Manager can show 2nd location at 1604 East FM 1294 Lubbock Texas.

Second location is 18 minutes from main location.

13. What information should we forward to get on the site visit list and the deadline to do so?

None, just attend site visit at 3810 4th. Street, Lubbock Texas. A sign in sheet will be provided.

14. Are there any specific equipment or tools required for this project, such as ladders, lifts, or sca olding? Ladders to reach skylight windows on the interior. Exterior skylight windows can be reached through a roof access inside the building.

15. Will the contractor have access to power sources and water supplies at both locations (3810 4th St. and 1604 E. FM 1294) for any necessary equipment or cleaning purposes? Yes

16. Are there any specific safety or security protocols that need to be followed at the job sites? Contractor needs to sign in at the time of service at the front of the buildings main entrance. Contractor shall notify the location in advance prior to the day of service so the location is prepared. The contractor is responsible for utilizing the proper safety protocols outlined by OSHA to perform the service in a safe manner.

17. Is there a requirement for background checks or security clearances for the cleaning crew? No

18. Beyond window cleaning, are there any additional services required, such as pressure washing, gutter cleaning, or window caulking/sealing? Not currently.
