Plant Growth Chamber Specifications

Control System Control system is a robust industrial grade control system that is designed specifically for plant growth chambers and rooms. Its intuitive color touch screen interface and limitless scalability make it a reliable, flexible and user‐friendly system.

Programming: Capable of storing up to 16 real‐time user‐entered programs each containing up to 48 lines with one minute resolution. Each program defines a single 24‐hour period. Programs are then entered into a “Schedule” (a sequence of up to 8 program entries) to create a single day, multi day, or seasonal schedule. Programs are entered via a high‐resolution color touch‐screen display.

Process Control Mode: All chamber process transitions occur in STEP mode, with the exception of temperature, which can be set to either STEP or global ramp (gRAMP) mode.

Data Logging and Graphing Local Data: The data available at the local display screen includes up to seven chamber variables such as temperature, humidity, lighting and CO2. Parameters are all logged automatically every 30 seconds and can be viewed in the form of Trend graphs. Trend graphs can be viewed, with up to five days of history, directly on the local display screen for both ‘set‐point’ and ‘actual’ values. Zoom and Pan Functions provide additional visualization tools allowing the User to precisely and accurately view and access the data. A cursor can be used to display the value and the setpoint at the cursor location.

The data available remotely is more substantial and includes every input and output parameter being monitored and controlled. Data is automatically logged and log rate can be set in multiples of 6 seconds regardless of the number of parameters. This provides unprecedented data resolution for the User while it also benefits service personnel. Log data is accessed in several ways:

∙ A network‐connected PC (Note: Requires optional products, sold separately) ∙ An internet‐enabled PC (Note: Requires optional products, sold separately)

Trend data can also be downloaded through the USB port of the chamber touch screen. Chamber data archived on the touch screen is logged every 30 seconds with up to fifteen days of history.

Alarms Audible and color‐coded visual alarms are provided. User‐settable absolute alarms for all controlled processes and User‐settable process tracking alarms for temperature are available for the User to determine how tightly they want to monitor the experiment. In addition, there are also “built in” alarms available for chamber component monitoring. Alarm history is logged to daily text files easily retrievable from any Ethernet connected computer or through the local control screen (last 15 alarm events).

User‐settable absolute alarms for monitoring sensors. User‐settable absolute alarms are available to determine an alarm condition for auxiliary sensors used to monitor chamber conditions.

User‐settable alarm delays are provided for all process sensors and monitoring sensors. An alarm delay of up to 540 minutes can be enabled that will bypass the user settable alarm limits. Alarm delays allow the user the ability to temporarily interact with the chamber without causing an alarm condition. Once the alarm delay has expired the process and monitoring alarms will no longer be bypassed.

Security: Password‐protected levels are reserved for users, administrators and service personnel. The unit is capable of storing up to 50 unique names and passwords for user and administrator profiles.

Start‐Up Delay: Chambers can be programmed with varying restart times to reduce start‐up loads after a power failure.

Communications: Ethernet connectivity is delivered with every controller. Controller, mask and Host IP address are easily settable from the Status screen. The controller is shipped communications‐ready.

Auxiliary and Central Alarm Contacts: Alarm contacts for connection to a building management system or (optional) auto dialer. The chamber local display can be mirrored on company’s central system (sold separately) allowing remote support, training and access to all the local chamber functions remotely.

Lighting Run Times: The controller tracks the amount of time (in hours) each lighting output has been ON. The run time of each output can be viewed and reset using the local display.

Audit Trails: The controller logs user interaction with the HMI. The Audit Trail feature allows the controller administrator to view all changes and button presses executed on the HMI. The Audit Trail is conveniently saved as a .csv file that can be downloaded from the control system and viewed on a .csv compatible device.
