4. Weather Limitations. Place asphalt concrete mix on a dry, unfrozen surface when the air temperature in the shade is above 35 °F (1.7 °C) and rising. For HMA, conform to Table 401-2. For 2” lifts, minimum lay down temperatures should be as follows:
COMPACTED LIFT THICKNESS---> < 2 INCHES 2 -3 INCHES > 3 INCHES
ROAD SURFACE TEMPERATURE IN
DEGREES FARENHEIGHT MINIMUM LAY DOWN TEMPERATURES

Products.
1. Government furnished products: NONE
2. Contractor furnished products: ALL, In Accordance With section 400 of FP-14.
a. Submit written JMF/ composition of mix and associated material with FHWA Form 1641 for verification at least 7 days before construction.
Include a signed statement from prepared by the testing laboratory that certifies the proposed JMF meets requirements and can be compacted in the field during production.
b. The verification process starts when required documentation and material are received. When the JMF is verified, asphalt concrete mix production may begin for the project in accordance with contractor logistics.
Location.
