RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS
12/14/2021
Question 1: Is it the intent of the government for the contractor to turnover a total quantity of 57, or
450 cylinders at the end of the first year, if options aren’t exercised? If options are exercised is it the government’s intent for the contractor to turnover 57, or 690 cylinders at the end of the contract?
Response: The contract period of performance will be extended only if/when Option years are exercised. The contractor will return all procured Government‐owned cylinders (Qty: 57) upon expiration of the contract (See Section 4.1.2, Amendment 0001). The contract will expire at the end of the Base year if Option Year 1 is not exercised.
The Contractor shall not be required to supply CO2 for more than 57 cylinders at any given time. The contractor shall changeout empty cylinders for even‐exchange cylinder refills on an as‐needed basis
(Section 4.0, Amendment 0001).
Note that the quantities specified for “Routine Re‐Supply/Delivery of Compressed Gas” (Items 0002, 1001, 2001, 3001, 4001) and “Rush Delivery” (Items 0003, 1002, 2002, 3002, 4002) are estimated “Not
To Exceed” amounts for the base period and each option period (Section 3.0). The Contractor shall not be required to supply CO2 for more than 57 cylinders at any given time (Section 4.0, Amendment 0001).
Question 2: Can the government please provide historical information relative to loss and damage on an annual basis, for contractor pricing purposes?
Response: This solicitation will result in a firm‐fixed‐price contract (Section 3.0). The requested historical information is not available. This is a new requirement.
