Requests for Information Solicitation 12505B25R0003
Question 1: Do you have any tentative date for the project’s implementation?
Answer 1: Government intends to award 2nd fiscal quarter of FY25. (between January and
March 2025)
Question 2: Please advise if the contractor is to provide and install safety fencing for the project. If so, can a standard wooden hand rail similar to the existing hand rail surrounding the loading dock pit be installed?
Answer 2: Contractor to provide and maintain temporary chain link fencing around the perimeter of the construction zone for the duration of activities. Provide appropriate signage on fence to identify the area as a construction zone and the area is prohibited to non-construction personnel. Coordinate with Shipping/Receiving department to maintain operational access for daily deliveries and pickups. Coordinate with Government POC prior to shutting down any potential pedestrian emergency egress routes.
Question 3: Should the contractor include labor and equipment to offload trucks for the center when deliveries arrive?
Answer 3: Not necessary. Shipping/Receiving personnel will continue to provide all loading/unloading services for Location business during construction activities.
Contractor responsible for coordinating and maintaining accessibility for S/R services. Contractor is responsible for all loading/unloading of materials associated with the Work.
Question 4: For a relatively new business, can personal experience of key personnel be used in lieu of the business’s experience?
Answer 4: If past work experience of key personnel is closely related to the type of work identified in the Solicitation, it will be accepted for evaluation and subject to the same evaluation factors as identified in the Solicitation Form SF-1442.
Question 5: The Statement of Work states the base bid is 15 ton lift and optional bid is 20 ton lift. The drawing SR-A800 states the base bid is 15,000 pound lift and the optional bid is 20,000 pound lift. Which is correct?
Answer 5: 15,000 pound lift for base bid 20,000 pound lift for optional bid.
