About this file
This document contains site survey questions for a federal contract opportunity to replace carpeting on the third floor of Building One at the Forest Products Laboratory. The scope of work involves removing and replacing carpet tiles in specified areas of the third floor, preserving the existing wood baseboard and shoe where possible, and using low profile vinyl transitions between carpeted areas and adjoining offices. Contractors are asked to note any exceptions to a desired completion date of February 26, 2024 in their responses. The work must be performed outside of normal business hours to minimize disruption. A building floor plan and carpet color preference are available upon request.

If that target is unachievable, than contractors are requested to annotate their schedule of items (in the space provided for exceptions) with the necessary lead-time, and resulting projected completion date. If the Forest Service is unable to obtain a fair & reasonable price to complete the project by the 2/26/2024 target; then we will consider the trade-offs associated with accepting a later completion date.
