1. Wondering if the old gate is no longer functioning. What is wrong with it?
Last winter a vehicle approached the gate, slid on the ice, and bent the gate out of alignment. The gate motor worked at that time, but the bend in the gate wouldn’t allow it to travel on the rollers. The gate was partially disassembled to move it out of the way and the motor was turned off.
2. Do you have the motor serial number listed on the old unit? In order to price a new one it would be good to get the specs on the old one to see footprint and weight distributions etc.
Below is a photo of the nameplate.
3. Will a site visit be set up for this project?
If you would like to setup a site visit, please contact:
Jared Kittle c: 603-481-6574 (primary) p: 603-536-6258 Jared.Kittle@usda.gov
4. What are the dimensions of the gate?
The gate is approximately 25’ long, 41” high, and the horizontal round stock is approximately 2-1/4” in diameter.
5. Did it work prior to disassembly?
Yes. Prior to being struck by a vehicle, the gate was functional. It was rendered inoperable due to the bending induced by the vehicle strike.
