Questions and Answers

1. How many trash bags would he need to provide and haul off?

Answer: Contractor would need to empty all trash and haul off. The “Statement of Work”, states how many trash containers and total number of trash bags are needed at each site. This would also be the number of trash bags expect to haul off.

1. Where are landfills located?

Answer: Union County and Newberry County, Contractors are responsible for finding out if there are any permits and or fees associated with these landfills. There may be other landfills in the area but again, contractors are responsible for finding these and being familiar with the location and hours of operations.

1. How is cleaning being accomplished now and how many people are doing the work?

Answer: Currently Forest Service employees are doing this work. We have a single axel trail that has a pressure washer tank bolted on the trailer. Only a few sites have water available. Need to plan on having a pressure washer tank to clean and haul water to other sites. Trash bags are loaded on trailer when go through each site. On average one to two workers but this can vary depending on time of year and season.
