Questions and Answers
Q1: “What are the start times and required hours to perform the janitorial services for each site?”
A1: From the Performance Work Statement, Section 2.6 – Location and Hours of Work: “With the exception of stripping and waxing floor, services shall be performed during the normal working hours 8am hours through 4:30pm (all time EST).”
Stripping and waxing floors will need to be scheduled with the COR for times other than working hours.
Q2: “Is the Vendor responsible for providing all paper products? (Ex. Trash bags, paper towels and toilet paper?)”
A2: From the Performance Work Statement, Section 4.2 – Government Furnished Materials: “Government will furnish toiletry items to include toilet tissue, towels, deodorizers, dispenser soap, and trash liners. Government will store these items on-site in an area agreed upon after award of the contract.”
Q3: “Is there a trash dumpster at each site?”
A3: Yes
Q4: “How many windows are there in site 1, 2 and 4?”
A4: Numbers for windows at each site are approximate:
Site 1: 180 Site 2: 27 Site 3: 62
Q5: “Are there janitorial closets for each site?”
A5: There are areas in which janitorial items are normally stored at each site.
Q6: “Does the janitorial closet have mop stations?”
A6. Sites 1 and 4 have mop stations with mop sinks. Site 3 has a shower that has been used for filling mop buckets by past contractors. Site 2 has a yard hydrants/water available outside of the buildings, but no dedicated mop station.
Q7: “Site 1: Plant Science Facility – 3127 Ligon Street, Raleigh, North Carolina, 27607 o 1st floor, lower level, and outside areas as indicated in Matrix of Services

A7: Will the carpet need shampoo cleaning? No.
How many windows are at the site 1 location? Approximately 180 How many people did it take to clean all locations? Historically, numbers of janitorial staff have ranged between 3 and 5 people.
