About this file
This amendment modifies a presolicitation for a fence removal and reconstruction project on the Bessey National Forest. The work includes removing approximately 16 miles of fence damaged by the Bovee wildfire, disposing of removed materials, and rebuilding the fence in the same locations according to specifications. Acceptable equipment includes skid steers but not dozers. Removed trees cannot be salvaged. The area experiences significant snowfall from October to April, with roads unplowed in winter, and ground frozen from November to March. The amendment answers questions on clearing widths, equipment usage, and tree/material disposal.

Can we use a dozer to clear or is it all handwork Dozers are not allowed, but smaller equipment like skid steers can be used.
Can the contractor salvage the trees or must they be left at the jobsite?
