About this file
This document outlines specifications for a federal contract to remove and reconstruct fence on the Bessey National Forest in Nebraska. The contract involves removing approximately 16 miles of fence damaged by the Bovee wildfire, including pulling and disposing of remaining posts and wire. New fencing will then be constructed exactly in place of the old fencing, in accordance with the specifications provided. These specifications cover acceptable fencing materials including wire type and spacing, as well as post and bracing requirements. The contractor must also install gates meeting the stated standards. The pre-solicitation period runs from May 17th to June 1st, with formal advertisement occurring from June 1st to 30th and bids due on June 30th. The work will be performed on priority areas within the Bovee Fire boundaries as shown on the attached map. The contracting agency is the US Department of Agriculture Forest Service.
