Questions and Answers #1

1. In the spec there is no mention of what size part or sample that is required for inspection?

ANSWER: Maximum sample size of at least 60x60x60 mm (2.4” x 2.4” x 2.4”)

1. Is there a minimum or maximum field of view or sample size?

ANSWER: Maximum sample size of at least 60x60x60 mm (2.4” x 2.4” x 2.4”), no requirement for minimum sample size.

1. Are you expecting a motorized stage that could scan a part so that multiple fields of view can be stitched together and used to create a single solid model? If so, what size stage would be best suited for your requirements? Our systems range from 6" x 4", to 16" x 16".

ANSWER: A motorized stage would be something nice to have, but not a requirement. However, if we purchase a unit that is not motorized, it would need to be modular to have the ability to upgrade to motorization if it is deemed as needed in the future. A 6” x 4” stage works for our purposes.

1. We did not find any quantities listed for the given system. Could you please provide more information on these aspects?

ANSWER: Besides what is listed in the specifications, a maximum sample size of at least 60x60x60 mm (2.4” x 2.4” x 2.4”) is needed. Optical scanning should be done with the ability to use a 150x objective lens.
