Detail the efforts made to secure a contract for the specific Materials or Services requested and explain why purchasing from a Cooperative Contract (piggyback) is in the best interest of the State per Technical Bulletin 005: The Sedona Fire District is asking the State to utilize it's contract pricing for the purchase of a "turnkey" generator project at five of our Telecommunication sites. The district is purchasing five new generators along with the delivery and installation component. This is a complicated project involving our remote communication sites. The generators will be replacing aged units that are becoming obsolete and unreliable. The generators provide emergency backup power at these remote locations and ensure that we have a trustworthy power supply in the event of a power outage. Telecom sites are critical to our emergency services delivery in the district as they provide radio communications throughout our varied and challenging landscape.
We currently have quotes from Gen-Tech, based on AZDPS contract pricing and we are asking for permission to move forward with the utilization of that price guarantee.
25. Complete as needed: Since the Sedona Fire District is not a State agency, requested approval from SPO compliance before hand for use of AZDPS's contract. This is the approval that was provided:
Because it seems like this would be a 1-time purchase, there aren't similar CO-Op contracts, and it is related to health, life, safety (since they are a fire district); compliance would recommend to make an exception.
Since it would be for a 1-time purchase, once approved, you can upload the determination as a unilateral contract document and do not need to execute a contract amendment to add the determination.
34. Complete as needed: Comments: confirmed with AZDPS that Sedona Fire District will spend approximately $330,000 and AZDPS' total estimated spend to date is $2.7 million.
Restriction: 1-time purchase only.
