The scope of work includes preformed plastic pavement marking tape installation, water-based and epoxy paint application, thermoplastic markings, and glass bead application across various roadway configurations and widths (4", 6", 7", 8", 16", and 24"). The bid sheet itemizes 75 line items with estimated quantities ranging from contrast tape messages (measured in square feet) to linear feet of various tape widths. Proposals are due by 11:30 AM CDT on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, with award announcement at the City Commission meeting on Monday, March 16, 2026, followed by a Notice to Proceed on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. The contractor must complete all work by November 1, 2026. No pre-construction meeting is required, and the City's representative is Nick Askew, Engineering Tech II.
Payment to contractors can be distributed as frequently as every two weeks based on work progress. No bid bond or contract bond is required, and liquidated damages do not apply to this project. Unit prices must be rounded to the nearest hundredth and submitted through the Bonfire platform. The contractor must provide two points of contact with work phone numbers and email addresses for coordination with City staff. Work is restricted between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM, and no lane closures are permitted on 6-lane arterial roads between 7:00-8:15 AM and 4:00-6:00 PM. The contractor is responsible for all traffic control measures in compliance with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices and must submit shop drawings and product data for all materials prior to installation. A one-year guarantee commences on November 1, 2026, with the contractor responsible for all repairs during that period.
