About this file
The documents provided are a collection of product specifications, safety data sheets, and marketing materials for various road de-icing and anti-icing chemical products produced by EnviroTech Services, Inc., a company based in Greeley, Colorado. The products include AMP (Advanced De-icing Technology), MeltDown Apex-C, and SOS/SOS-C, which are designed for use by transportation departments and winter road maintenance operations. The documents reference compliance with Clear Roads Qualified Products List (QPL), Pacific Northwest Snowfighters (PNS) specifications, and meet OSHA HazCom Standard 29 CFR 1910.1200(g) safety regulations.
These chemical products are liquid chloride-based solutions primarily composed of magnesium chloride, calcium chloride, and proprietary organic corrosion inhibitors, designed to enhance salt's melting performance, reduce bounce and scatter, and lower freezing points. The products can be applied directly to road surfaces, used in pre-treating salt stockpiles, and offer benefits such as improved ice melting at lower temperatures, reduced environmental impact, and decreased infrastructure corrosion. The marketing materials highlight performance advantages like extending time between snowplow routes, keeping salt stockpiles flowing, and providing a more cost-effective solution compared to traditional salt treatments. While specific pricing is not detailed, the materials emphasize potential cost savings through reduced salt usage and improved road treatment efficiency.

DON’T BE LEFT IN THE COLD
Discover AMP - a liquid inhibitor and salt brine enhancer and breakthrough in de-icing technology.
Enhance and Protect: Outshine the Competition
Superior Road Defense
AMP®
ADVANCED DE-ICING TECHNOLOGY
ACCELERATE MAINTAIN PROTECT
Amplify the performance of your anti-icing and deicing program by adding AMP to your salt brine! With AMP, roads can be treated both before and during a storm to more effectively reduce snow and ice buildup preserving road safety. AMP is a salt brine enhancer that accelerates ice melt, maintains friction and protects your roads.
With 50% more melting capacity, AMP in salt brine signifi cantly outshines the competition. And adding AMP at 20% also lowers your salt brine’s working temperature (1:1 freeze point) from 18°F to 10°F, protecting your roads in the coldest temperatures. AMP-treated roads become free of ice and snow more quickly than roads treated with salt brine alone. With the low freeze point of Salt Brine with AMP, your storage tanks are also protected in colder conditions.
When used to pretreat roads alone, salt brine dries out and does not stick to the road’s surface - wind and traffi c can easily sweep it away. However, with AMP added, it bonds to roads in even the most severe weather conditions.

Science behind AMP The unique, liquid composition of AMP disrupts the bonding of hard ice crystals and softens ice. This provides a tighter connection between the road and tires, making driving safer. The faster melting performance allows for more time between treatments, or a reduced application rate, making AMP the more cost-effective solution. AMP reduces anti-icing and deicing cost per mile of roadways significantly, driving a strong positive return on investment for your purchase.

Corrosion Protection
Looser Snow, Easier Plowing
Ice Hardness Test
Features & Benefits
AMP exceeds the PNS specifications for corrosion protection and provides a safer driving surface than the standard 23% salt brine. Based on laboratory data and results obtained in the field, at temperatures above 15F a 10% addition rate of AMP to salt brine has been found to be effective. At temperatures below 15F, an add rate of at least 15% AMP is strongly recommended. These recommendations should be considered an initial guideline only. Many variables can impact the field performance of any de-icing product and therefore the experience and judgment of the end user should be considered.
When AMP is added to salt brine, it is much more effective at breaking through layers of ice and snow than salt brine alone and significantly more effective than the competitor’s formula.
A test was performed using a penetrometer, a stainless steel cone that measures the hardness of a material. The penetrometer was dropped into the frozen material, measuring in (mm) the penetration into the snow. The deeper penetration, the softer the snow and ice.

MeltDown Apex™-C is the newest Calcium
Chloride formula added to the MeltDown line of products. It was created with a combination of proprietary additives and organic polymers that provide corrosion protection and enhanced performance even at the lowest winter temperatures.
When combined with a 1:1 ratio of water from melting snow and ice, it will not refreeze until approximately 0°F, while 32% Calcium Chloride freezes at 8°F.
This unique formula breaks the bond of ice and snow at the surface and works to decrease snow pack build up.
It’s the secret to anti-icing, deicing and corrosion control.

Not only does MeltDown Apex-C meet the PNS specifications for corrosion, but it provides corrosion protection that is 70% better than standard 32% Calcium Chloride products. All of these benefits mean your long-term cost of road sustainability is drastically reduced.
Compared to traditional 32% Calcium Chloride and Rock Salt, MeltDown Apex-C is 70% less corrosive. MeltDown Apex-C meets all of PNS’s (Pacific Northwest Snowfighters) specifications and has a corrosion score of less than 30 to be approved to the PNS Qualified Products List.
Corrosion Control and Safer Roads- Aiding in corrosion control, MeltDown Apex-C™ can be applied directly to paved surfaces to prevent snow and ice bonding – resulting in safer roads. It also lowers the refreezing point, creating less ice for faster snow removal, while increasing traction.
Apex-C - Clear, no odor, and does not stain exterior surfaces.
Amber Clear Appearance
APEX-C Competition
FEATURES BENEFITS
