About this file

This is a quick reference guide for Wisconsin's Third-Party Hardware Maintenance and Support Contract #455DMS-G22-G1256-XX, issued by the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) under Request for Bid #JD-B22-1256. The contract is cooperative, allowing use by other Wisconsin state agencies, municipalities, University of Wisconsin campuses, and out-of-state agencies where procurement policies permit. Three contractors were awarded across different equipment categories: AMTEK (Lot 1 HPE Nimble and Lot 3 HP/IBM equipment), Service Express (Lot 3 HP/IBM equipment), and Gear One Enterprise (Lots 1 and 2 covering HPE Nimble and Dell equipment respectively).

The contract covers third-party maintenance and support for post-warranty server, storage, and network equipment from manufacturers including HP, Dell, IBM, and HPE Nimble that are no longer supported by original equipment manufacturers. The initial contract term runs from signature date through June 30, 2024, with one final renewal option extending through June 30, 2026. Services include parts provision, installation, and replacement at no additional cost, with contractors required to obtain DOJ approval for used, remanufactured, or refurbished parts when new OEM parts are unavailable. The contract operates on a competitive quote basis where DOJ must utilize the lowest quote received from applicable lot contractors unless the contractor cannot meet business needs, with quotes required within four business days and valid for minimum sixty days.
