About this file

This document is a North Dakota state term contract for vehicle batteries, established through a cooperative purchasing agreement under North Dakota Century Code. The contract involves two primary vendors: Factory Motor Parts (FMP) serving the Bismarck area, and Continental Battery Systems covering all other areas of North Dakota. The contract is available to a wide range of entities, including state agencies, higher education institutions, local governments, nonprofit organizations, tribal agencies, transportation providers, and the International Peace Garden.

The contract provides for the procurement of vehicle batteries with specific delivery and payment terms. Vendors must deliver products within 14 days of order placement, with freight costs included in pricing. Payment is typically made within 30 days after delivery and acceptance, with agencies able to use purchase orders or purchasing cards. The contract includes seven distribution locations for Continental Battery Systems across North Dakota (Devils Lake, Dickinson, Fargo, Grand Forks, Minot, Valley City, and Williston) and one location for Factory Motor Parts in Bismarck. Battery cores will be picked up by the contractors, and the state is exempt from sales and federal excise taxes.
