About this file

This is a Project Overview document for a General Contracting project issued by Williamson County, Texas, for the Brushy Creek Trail Retaining Wall improvement project. Williamson County is seeking qualified contractors through a Competitive Sealed Proposals process under Texas Government Code Chapter 2269 Subchapter D, utilizing a one-step selection methodology. The project is located at 3500 Brushy Creek Road in Cedar Park, Texas, immediately downstream of Upper Brushy Creek WCID Dam No. 7, and involves rehabilitating approximately 60 linear feet of an existing 170-foot retaining wall that has experienced cracking, erosion, undermining, and loss of subgrade support. Work scope includes compaction grouting beneath the retaining wall footing, localized grading, placement of approximately 265 square yards of stone riprap for slope stabilization and erosion protection, wetland-edge revegetation and plantings, replacement of approximately 145 linear feet of metal wire fence, temporary erosion and sedimentation controls, site restoration, and related incidental work. Construction must be completed within a constrained area adjacent to the Brushy Creek Regional Trail, Dam No. 7 spillway, and a City of Austin Critical Environmental Feature wetland, requiring careful coordination of access, staging, environmental protection, and trail operations. A mandatory pre-solicitation conference is scheduled for November 9, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Williamson County Headquarters in Georgetown, Texas, immediately followed by a mandatory site walk from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Williamson County Champion Park in Cedar Park, Texas. Attendance at both events is required for proposal eligibility. Substantial completion is required within 90 days after Notice to Proceed.

The construction budget is $200,000.00. The Architect of Record is Eckermann Engineering, Inc., which has been contracted by Williamson County for architectural and engineering services. The project includes all utilities, drainage, roadways, parking, landscaping, and walkways to structures and associated landscaping. No information regarding set-asides, incumbent contractors, or specific funding sources is identified in this overview document.
