- Case A and B glass laminated, UV-blocking with preferred solution a single pane either hinged or rolling in-line left. Contractor to specify their proposed glass door opening solution. Preference will be given to cost e�ect designs in which glass panels are single panes that can be opened by a single person.
- Case C and D glass laminated, UV-blocking pin-hinged
- All glass panels locking
- Steel-framed cases covered with laminate-covered plywood.
- Steel frame must support weight of each case and future contents up to 2,000 lbs on four points of contact indi-cated in drawing without shifting over time causing the glass doors to become mis-aligned. Sub-�oor supports will be installed prior to case delivery and installation, it is not part of this contract. Dashed rectangles show points of support for the cases. The two on the mid-line cannot move signi�cantly due to utility infrastructure in the crawl space. Once the contract is awarded speci�c points of support will be agreed upon.
- Interior sides, �oor and ceiling of cases laminated with Abet Laminati 898 SEI or equivalent.
- Interior case back covered with double thickness of 3/4” baltic birch, cabinet-grade plywood. Interior case back may be left un�nished since it will be covered with the slat wall (see next line).
- Interior case back surfaced with Megawall (800-948-2736) 1” aluminum �at back slat wall A10-1S-96 �nished with powder coat RAL 8014 mat �nish.
- External case laminated with LIRI 805 ESSE Bark or equivalent.
- Red oak toe kick to match existing pro�le on original exhibit cases �nished with natural Watco Danish oil.
- All exposed wood surfaces (visible or not) will be coated with �re retardant �nish.
- Adjustable LED strip lighting �xtures mounted inside case near the glass on each side and across the top front edge

- Two doors in each cabinet. One case with left-hand doors and the other with right-hand doors. One door in each case pivots in the center of the case.
- All glass panels locking.
- Steel-frames encased in lami-nate-covered plywood.
- Steel frame must support weight of each case and contents up to 1,000 lbs without shifting over time causing the glass doors to become mis-aligned.
- Interior sides, �oor, back and ceiling of cases laminated with Abet Laminati 898 SEI or equivalent.
- Z-bar mounting brackets attached to back wall at regular intervals to receive boards with specimens attached.
- Exterior of case laminated with LIRI 805 ESSE Bark or equivalent.
- Case base 6 inches tall from building’s sub�oor to internal �oor of cabinet (splash guard for mopping).
- All exposed wood surfaces (visible or not) coated with �re retardent �nish.
- Anchored to wall into grout lines of stone-faced concrete wall.

- Steel frame must support weight of the case and contents up to 1,500 lbs without shifting over time causing the glass doors to become mis-aligned.
- Interior sides, �oor, and ceiling of cases laminated with Abet Laminati 898 SEI or equivalent.
- Interior case back surfaced with Megawall (800-948-2736) 1” alumi-num �at back slat wall A10-1S-96 �nished with powder coat RAL 8014 mat �nish.
- Exterior of case laminated with LIRI 805 ESSE Bark or equivalent.
- Case base 12 inches tall to accomodoate two air vent. NPS sta� will adapt vents with 90 degree elbow.
- All exposed wood surfaces (visible or not) coated with �re retardent �nish.
- Anchored to studded wall to prevent tipping in event of earthquake.
