Use MCP tool responses when you need to understand the GovTribe records, fields, status snapshots, app payloads, and result details that connected AI tools can return.

Federal contracting

  • Federal agency: A U.S. federal agency, sub-agency, or office used for awarding, funding, or organizational context.
  • Federal contract award: A federal contract award or order, including delivery or task orders, purchase orders, definitive contracts, and BPA calls.
  • Federal contract IDV: A contract vehicle, such as an IDIQ, FSS contract, GWAC, BOA, BPA, requirements contract, or definite-quantity contract, used to issue related task or delivery orders.
  • Federal contract opportunity: A federal procurement notice for planned, active, or recently awarded buying activity, such as a sources-sought notice, pre-solicitation, solicitation, sole-source notice, or award notice.
  • Federal contract sub-award: A subcontract that a prime contractor reported under a federal contract award.
  • Federal contract vehicle: A streamlined, pre-negotiated contracting method that lets government agencies buy goods or services from pre-qualified vendors, including IDIQs, GWACs, GSA Schedules, BPAs, and other ordering vehicles.
  • Federal contract vehicle subcategory: A segment of a federal contract vehicle, such as a pool, SIN, track, domain, or ordering lane.
  • Federal forecast: An agency acquisition forecast or early planning record for expected federal contract opportunities.
  • Federal transaction: A contract, financial assistance, or sub-award transaction with action-level details such as value, action date, agency, recipient, and place of performance.
  • DOD acquisition program: A Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP) or comparable DoD acquisition program.

Federal grants

  • Federal grant award: A federal financial assistance award made to a recipient, including grants and related assistance award types.
  • Federal grant opportunity: A forecasted or posted funding opportunity notice for federal financial assistance, including grants and cooperative agreements.
  • Federal grant program: A federal assistance program, often identified by an Assistance Listing Number (ALN, formerly CFDA Number).
  • Federal grant sub-award: A subaward that a pass-through entity reported to a subrecipient under a prime federal financial assistance award.

State and local contracting

  • State and local contract award: A state, local, education, or related public-sector contract that has been awarded.
  • State and local contract IDV: A state or local parent contract or purchasing vehicle used to issue related child awards, orders, or purchases.
  • State and local contract opportunity: A state, local, education, or related public-sector solicitation or notice for planned procurement.
  • State and local contract vehicle: A state or local purchasing arrangement, cooperative contract, master agreement, or contract family used to group related contract records.
  • Line item: An item-level record connected to a state or local award, IDV, or procurement source.
  • Jurisdiction: A public-sector organization or government entity in state and local procurement.
  • State: A U.S. state, territory, district, or comparable state-level geography.

Organizations, people, and classifications

  • Vendor: An organization that appears as a vendor, awardee, recipient, subrecipient, or supplier in government-market data.
  • Contact: A person or office contact connected to a procurement notice, grant opportunity, agency, vendor, file, or related record.
  • NAICS category: A North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code used by federal statistical agencies to classify business establishments by industry.
  • NIGP category: A National Institute of Governmental Purchasing category for state and local goods and services.
  • PSC category: A Product and Service Code (PSC) or Federal Supply Classification (FSC) used to identify products, services, or R&D purchased by the federal government.
  • UNSPSC category: A United Nations Standard Products and Services Code category for goods and services.
  • Location: A geographic place, address, or location reference.

Workspace, capture, content, and AI

  • Automation: Structured automation records returned by automation search, create, and update tools.
  • Pipeline: A workspace capture pipeline.
  • Pursuit: A workspace capture record for a target item.
  • Stage: A step or column within a workspace pipeline.
  • Tag: A workspace label used to organize pipelines, pursuits, and tasks.
  • Task: A workspace task assigned to a user or team member and often linked to a pursuit or capture workflow.
  • Saved search: A saved set of search criteria, filters, sorts, and related notification preferences.
  • Government file: A source document collected from a government record, such as a solicitation attachment, amendment, notice, award document, application material, or supporting PDF.
  • User file: A file uploaded by a user, created by GovTribe AI, or saved inside a workspace.
  • Government-related news article: A news or analysis article relevant to government markets, agencies, vendors, policy, programs, or procurement activity.
  • Memory: A remembered piece of context associated with a user.
