Brecknell Digital Postal Scale, 11 lb. Capacity (311)

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division awarded a purchase order (26269536) to Staples Contract & Commercial LLC on June 12, 2026, under the statewide term contract 615-C1. The procurement encompasses five Brecknell Digital Postal Scales with 11-pound capacity (Model SBW-311) at a unit price of $29.84 each, generating a cumulative order value of $149.20. The scales are manufactured by Essendant and procured through the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Statewide Procurement Division. Delivery is directed to the Dominguez Unit Supply facility in San Antonio, Texas, with an expected delivery date of June 15, 2026.

The State of Texas has claimed a sales tax exemption under Texas Tax Code Section 151.309(4) based on the property being for exclusive state use. Patricia Barker, identified as the agency purchaser, processed this transaction through the TDCJ Accounts Payable office. The three-day estimated delivery window following order release reflects standard procurement procedures for equipment acquisitions within the Texas criminal justice system.
