Contract 26263149

The Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC), a Texas state agency, awarded a term contract to The Hertz Corporation for vehicle rental services on May 6, 2026. The Hertz Corporation, headquartered in Estero, Florida, is the prime contractor responsible for providing vehicle rental services to support HHSC operations. The contract carries a total value of $124.08 and encompasses a single line item procured under National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) Code 97514. The stated completion date of September 15, 2025 appears to predate the award date and may represent a data entry discrepancy.

The contract was issued by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, Statewide Procurement Division, with the purchase order designated for delivery within the United States. The State of Texas has claimed exemption from Federal Excise Taxes and applied a State and City Sales Tax Exemption Certificate under Texas Tax Code Section 151.309(4), reflecting the vehicle rental services are procured for exclusive use by the state or a Texas political subdivision. The minimal contract value of $124.08 suggests this purchase order may represent either a pilot procurement, a specialized or limited-scope rental service, or an administrative adjustment to an existing term contract framework.
