Contract 26261569

The State of Texas, through the Department of Family and Protective Services (Agency 530), awarded a term contract for Vehicle Rental Services to The Hertz Corporation, headquartered in Estero, Florida. The contract, designated as 26261569, was awarded on May 6, 2026, with a cumulative contract value of $38.32. The purchase order issued under this contract (PO No. 26261569) specifies a single line item for commodity "C" classified under NIGP Code 97514, with a unit price of $38.32 for one unit. The State of Texas claimed exemption from federal excise taxes and state and city sales taxes under Texas Tax Code Section 151.309(4).

The contract contains a discrepancy regarding the completion date listed as September 15, 2025, which predates the award date of May 6, 2026, suggesting a potential data entry error in the source materials. Based on the available documentation, the actual period of performance cannot be definitively established. The Hertz Corporation will provide services to the Department of Family and Protective Services, with the vendor's principal place of business located at 8501 Williams Road, Estero, Florida 33928. The minimal contract value and single-unit specification suggest this may represent a partial order or administrative adjustment rather than a comprehensive vehicle rental engagement.
